For an optimal experience, the smart icon in this video automatically installs the Microsoft Remote Desktop client when it’s not installed or when it’s outdated. Then it initiates and configures the remote connection to WVD. On the WVD server the Notepad++ VHD is automatically mounted.
After this mount, the MSIX package for Notepad++ is staged, the application registered and then launched. The end result for the end-user is shown, where Notepad++ is started seamlessly, using single sign-on. It all looks similar to starting a local application.
